Products Archive page, how to noindex

Use a plugin like WordPress SEO which has options to do this. You need to do it for the product custom post type archive, not the shop page, because the shop page is just a placeholder.

the homepage, https://example.com it changes to noindex after setting product custom post type archive to noindex.

Yes it’s set as homepage in settings

If its the homepage, then you shouldn’t have anything linking to a separate archive, so noindex is not needed?

Well somehow I have 2 products archives.. Linked to /shop and one too /winkel.

One got indexed by Google too

Clear all cache in w3 super cache and save permalinks in settings > permalinks.

the /shop page still exists

Yes it does, I see the same on my install. If it’s not linked to anywhere, and its not in your sitemap etc, it shouldn’t be indexed – internal links will go to your homepage.

Somehow it does get indexed, any solution how to not index this?
