Productions not showing up in Categories as normal posts

    Hello again!

    First off, is there a way to donate a small amount of money through paypal or something to the project or author?

    In my theme I can call to categories and place posts in them in a special way. Productions added to categories does not show up in that special way. It’s like WP does not recognise them as real category members which is confirmed when looking in the category menu in WP as they don’t show up there either. I saw that someone had trouble before with something similar and I tested that code you gave him (Jeroen Schmit) but it did nothing about this problem.

    any ideas?

    What code did you find for your problem? I may be outdated.
    I think WP only shows posts and pages on category pages. If you want the productions to show up, you need to manipulate the underlying query. This may give you unexpected results, since everything on category pages is ordered by publication date. This doesn’t make any sense for production, because you want them to be sorted by their event dates.

    I see the difference and as you say, there probably nothing we can do about it. My theme has a static carousel in the footer and it uses catagories to pull the thumbnails. I can’t change the footer, just turn the carousel off and on. I’ll se what I can do about it, maybe I can add a widget with a plugin and the place something there

    I guess you need to get the carousel to look for other post types as well. Maybe the author of the theme can help you. Unfortunately I’m not able to see what he/she used for the carousel.
