    We have had some serious issues with latest major update. Before I get into it I want to give yoi some background.

    We were using another inventory management plugin for a long time and it was buggy and was unreloable to say the least. We were very happy to find ATUM in 2017 when the plugin was new and young. I have to admit when it first came out it was very stable and waa very good at meeting our needs. I would definitely aay we are advanced users. We run a bricks and clicks business and manage all our inventpry and salea for online and in store sales through our website. We have 2 locations and have a subdomain multisite network with 2 completely seperate inventories which has been working great with your plug in.

    With the most recent update we have had some serious problems with the controll feature mainly. The script did not run correctly and it did not switch the controll button on for all ghe prosucta that had manage inventory selected. It also did not show in the unctrolled liat so we had to manually go through 100’s of products to find the straglers. Furthermore, we have noticed that some products will randomly switch to uncontrolled everyday. We have to manually check the uncontrolled list every morning and fix them. Given that we have employees and multiple locations this is a huge inconvenience. I hope you will be able to solve this problem because it currently feels like a very solid and stable plugin is becoming overloaded with features and options at the cost of stability and reliability. Please help!

    Thank you very much for your message.

    I am very sorry you are experiencing issues in your store. I hope you don’t find my answer inappropriate as I mean everything I say in a best possible way.

    Please, rest assured that ATUM has never been as stable as it is right now. The new system has introduced a complete and stable control and the scrip has no reason to fail unless interrupted by some 3rd party code.
    Last time I have checked there is 40 thousand plugins in WordPress and we have no way of finding out what our users are using or to even try and support more than few of them.

    Please, forgive me for what I will say, but as you are running such complex business, never do any update on your live sites before you check if it works correctly in your staging site. This is for any update, even WordPress itself.

    Please, let me try and answer your issues:
    – I am very sorry that the script did not run correctly. As mentioned above it will only be due to some interruption. There are many things that could have done it, even a small db error perhaps.
    – Products jumping from controlled to uncontrolled is just something I can not explain. Many things that could be happening are coming to my head right now. Please, check if the product that has jumped from one to another has the ATUM stock control unchanged in the product data. That would be my first advice.
    Something in your site must be changing the database or maybe another plugin using the same function and overwriting the information.

    For sure, it has nothing to do with ATUM’s stability or code.

    PS: As you said above about that you liked simpler ATUM from before, feel free to disable any features you don’t like in settings. Just turn off modules at will.

    This forum is however, not the best to sort technical issues. I beg you to use the open support ticket button in your installation.

    Hi windsorraw,

    I could not sleep thinking of ways of helping you out.

    I have a suggestion, but not sure if this would work for you.
    Just in case some other function has changed anything in the installation or in case the installation did not go through correctly:

    1. create a site backup (just in case this does not work).
    2. switch the ‘Delete data when uninstalling’ ON in ATUM-Settings and Update Settings.
    3. deactivate and delete the ATUM plugin.
    4. delete the ATUM folder in your server.
    5. install and activate a fresh 1.4.1.2 version of ATUM.

    Let me know if that helps at all.
