Product with same SKU already exists. MAYBE IMPROVEMENT IDEA

  • Hello, thanks again for the great import plugin, in case it can help other people, maybe it could be useful to find a way to jump the products that have already been imported. Your plugin will not import again products that are already on the destination website, but when importing thousands products we have to wait long time that all products with same SKU or ID are processed/passed, so I get the “Product with same SKU already exists.” message hundreds times (and it takes time) before the plugin starts to import new products. Not a big problem, but on a slow server sometimes the process get stuck before reaching new products that need to be imported…

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    Currently, during the import process, the plugin checks each row individually, which means it cannot skip over products that already exist. We’ve noted this feedback, and after conducting the necessary feasibility studies, we may consider adding this feature in a future update.

    I achieved the same result by deleting in the files lines that were already imported, but not sure if everybody is comfortable doing this. Thanks again for the great plugin.
