product weights not displaying in shipstation

    Can anyone confirm if product weights should display within ShipStation when viewing a product’s shipping details? The weights are there in the XML export from the woocommerce plugin, and the Order’s total weight is being calculated from the weight of the products, but when I view the “Standalone Product Details” in Shipstation and inspect its Shipping tab the package weight for the product is showing 0.

    If I understand correctly, you are unable to find the individual weight of each item in the Shipstation but the total order weight is available. Is that right?

    Is it the same for dimensions as well?

    I found a similar case where Shipstation does not take the individual product dimensions but the total dimension is there. According to one of our developers:

    I have checked the Shipstation API documentation in here. The docs only specify dimensions parameter for the main order but not for the order item.

    Let us know if this clarifies the confusion.

    None of our products have dimension data on them so I can’t confirm if that also behaves the same way :/
    I looked into the XML export data from this plugin and individual weights are there for each item in the order. I’m just baffled as to why this wouldn’t map across when the product is created in ShipStation. I’m wondering if it’s a bug in XML, ie the XML doesn’t match Shipstation’s OrderItem model correctly, or if it’s just something that hasn’t been implemented yet.

    I just did a test and can confirm that product dimensions aren’t showing up in the order, or for the product itself. Is this something that should work?

    Hi @mikmikmik!

    I understand the frustration here. This has already been flagged by our developers recently, as we use the default custom store integration that ShipStation provides, which limits the amount of information we can send to ShipStation.

    Unfortunately, based on past discussions that I am seeing on our end, this has been added as an enhancement but there is no way in saying when this will become available.
