Product Variations Stock not quite working well

I have 1300 variable products. Users can only purchase variations. For example: Product is Bottle and variations are 0.5l,1l,2l . Parent product has “no stock management” ticked but each of my variations has stock quantity and stock management enabled.
The problem is when I open Woocommerce stock manager, naturally, all I see is red fields with stock disabled for parent products.
The only way to see stock for product variations is by clicking “Show variables” for each product. But it doesn’t make quite sense to me.
Furthermore, even when the stock amount of variation is set to 0, it doesn’t filter that variation as “out of stock”.
Easiest workaround i can think of is to display all variations in the list expanded (without having to click on each product).
Can you point out where and how I could make this modification? Or is there a better way for showing variations stock?
