Hello, I’m trying to import a csv file that has a TON of variations, however, I found out that I need to include a list of ALL of those variations inside of the parents attributes section, which is next to impossible to do in my situation. Is there any way of importing generating the attributes of any variation underneath it automatically? I’ve searched but cant find anything anywhere.

Update – I know I can do this if I needed to generate the variations from the attributes that are assigned, but there’s no way to do it in reverse through the import process that I can find.

no ideas on what i can do other than manually adding all the attributes to a single cell for thousands of products? ??

    Hi @bsjelin,

s there any way of importing generating the attributes of any variation underneath it automatically?

I’m afraid this would require some custom code. Here are some great places for custom code support that can help write the needed code:

    * WooCommerce Slack Community: https://woocommerce.com/community-slack/ – there is a #developers channel there where you can receive guidance.
    * Advanced WooCommerce group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/advanced.woocommerce/

If a freelance developer is needed for this, we suggest taking a look at our Customizations page https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
