`Hi, I have the problem in the backend that when productsync is enabled (only if the checkmark is set), the product variants take incorrect data from other articles. Instead of the type “Product variant”, the product is then displayed as “Simple product”. In the short description and other fields, data from another product is displayed, etc. Does anyone else have this problem? If you deactivate the productsync in the Facebook plugin, the variants are displayed normally again.

    WooCommerce Version: 5.9.0
    WordPress Version: 5.8.2
    Database Version: 5.6.0

  • Hello!

Thanks for sharing this with us. Can you tell us if there are any PHP error logs related to this?

    https://woocommerce.com/document/finding-php-error-logs/

The different versions between the WooCommerce plugin and the WooCommerce Database may or may not be related. To see if that is please deactivate then immediately reactivate the WooCommerce plugin. Many times that will help the database version update to match.

There is also a tool in the site admin at WooCommerce → Status → Tools → Update Database. There is a warning there to have a backup of the site before running that tool. If you use this method be sure to have one and know how to use it in the unlikely event the site crashes.

I have literally never seen this break a site when used so I feel it is very safe. I have seen it fail to update though so it may not correct the difference. The last method I know of is to reinstall WooCommerce from a new zip file.

If you can get this updated please test to see if the Facebook issue still occurs. Please get back to us with any samples of error logs and/or test results.

    Thanks!

Hi, thank you. With the hack of deactiviting and activating the Woocommerce Plugin i got the Database-Version up to date. But the issue with the Facebook-Plugin still persists.

I have this same issue. When product sync is activated, updating certain products causes the permalink, short description and various other data to change to that of another product.

    Hi again,

Hi, thank you. With the hack of deactiviting and activating the Woocommerce Plugin i got the Database-Version up to date.

    Thank you for doing that.

When product sync is activated, updating certain products causes the permalink, short description and various other data to change to that of another product.

I have not seen this before and I can only imagine something is interfering. Could you try a conflict check as a next step:

For a conflict check, you activate a default theme such as Storefront or Twenty Nineteen and only the extension you want to test: WooCommerce and WooCommerce Facebook.

Takes about 5 minutes to test but do take a backup before you get going.

    Here is the documentation: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/troubleshooting-using-health-check/

While in troubleshooting mode, trigger the product sync: https://d.pr/i/J3yDc9

    Does that change anything?

    Kind regards,
