Product status “cancelled” after successful Payfast payment

Hi,
A client purchased a product from my online store. The purchase was done using Payfast. She received a payment confirmation from Payfast and the money is reflecting in my account. The product status on the back end is “cancelled” and I did not receive any “new order” or “cancelled” emails.
Why did the product status not change to “processing” after the successful purchase?
