Random product page for example, but issue occurs with all single product pages where in the bottom “Related products” section are only shown limited products. I have hundreds of products in my shop but the “Related products” section only presents about between 10 same products all the time. Why so? I want it to show all products randomly.

Second issue is that the product sorting (price, date ect) option disappeared from products page. Example: https://browmaniac.ee/tootekategooria/tarvikud/lash-lift-tooriistad/

It was placed right upper corner before, now there is nothing.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @browmaniac

Related Products section is designed to show a limited number of products that are related to the current product being viewed. This is to help customers find other items they might be interested in, based on their current selection. The products shown are determined by WooCommerce’s algorithms, which take into account factors such as product categories and tags. Unfortunately, it is not designed to show all products randomly.

However, if you want to how more or different products, you might consider using a plugin that allows you to customize the related products section, such as WPC WooCommerce Custom Related Products or Product Recommendations for WooCommerce.

As for the second issue, the link you’ve shared seems to be a category archive page. And by default, the product sorting option only shows on the shop archive page.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

@shameemreza I understand the algorithm but the “Related products” section literally shows different products only from the 10 products I firstly added to my shop years ago. After that I’ve add hundreds of products to my shop but the “Related products” section still shows only the most oldest products.

I had the sorting option on every page. Literally when I go to Edit that or the other pages in Elementor, it shows the sorting option but in reality it’s gone. Screenshot of that: https://ibb.co/c1LR1t1

I noticed from FTP that WooCommerce is the last plugin what has updated itself and after that it has caused many issues on my page, starting from lost sorting option and ending with super slow performance. All this happened overnight.

    Hi @browmaniac

Did you customize single product page and the related product section using Elementor?

Literally when I go to Edit that or the other pages in Elementor, it shows the sorting option but in reality it’s gone.

This could potentially be a caching issue. Try clearing your site’s cache and see if the sorting option reappears. However, please note that this is not a default feature.

Please note that, Elementor is a third-party plugin, and we don’t provide help & support for 3rd-party plugins or themes as they’re outside our support scope. It would be best to reach out to the plugin developer for further assistance.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

No I did not customize single product page and the related product section with Elementor.

    Hey, @browmaniac!

Were you able to clear the cache to see if the issue persists?

You also mentioned that you think the issue started after the last WooCommerce update, right?

To make sure, can you please roll back to a previous version to see if the issue persists?

You can find older versions to download here.

If you prefer, you can also use a plugin such as WP Rollback to help you with this process. You can find the plugin here.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Have a wonderful day!

Cache clearing didnt help. Rollback didnt help.

    Hey, @browmaniac!

    Thanks for trying!

If that did not help, the next step is to run a conflict test.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. Please note that this includes deactivating Elementor. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    — Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

    — It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know about your findings.

    Have a wonderful day!
