I am trying to use the Sold individually setting on my product, but when I add one product to my cart and then go to my cart and increase the quantity above one item I am not prevented from doing so and I am allowed to checkout with more than one of my item. Is this normal behavior?

    Hi there,

That is not the expected behavior of the “Sold individually” inventory setting. If you attempt to add another item, it should display a notification “You cannot add another “YOUR PRODUCT NAME” to your cart.”, like this https://d.pr/i/YajjDZ

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:
    ?

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any further questions!

Thanks Zach/Austin, I am working on duplicating the site to test on. So far I have just disabled plugins we are not actively using but that hasn’t made a difference. I appreciate your feedback and I will post again once I have been able to test further if it does not resolve the issue.
