product slider (latest product) widget not working

  • after updating the theme, it all works great except for the product slider widget

    when I set it to lates products doesnt display anything

    how can I fix this? help please

    other widgets work fine. Its just the latest products option that is giving problems.
    If I choose a category it sows the latest products of that category fine, but I just want to show the latests products from all categories…..like it was hapening before the update.

    We have updated this feature because many of our clients want to use the latest product in the specific category so that you can use the latest product in multiple sections.
    We also seem that is also benefits for our users they can create multiple latest product section for there categories. so that we have added this feature to this. if you have anything else then please let us know.

    thanks for the response.

    being able to choose the product category is ok, but in my case is a problem, because my client needs to show latest products from all categories…..I think that should be an option too. he has many mnay categories, and cant put a widget for each one of them.

    I have the same issue.
    Client company has a large number of categories and it would be nice to also be able to show Latest Products from all categories as we used to.

    That was a good feature and, in my opinion, should not have been removed
