    I have updated the woocommerce plugin and some other plugins. Then I found that the field is missing.
    I have checked:
    – screen option checked
    – all other plugins deactivated

    But the field is still missing.

    I understand that the Product Short Description field is not showing on your site’s back-end, correct?

    It looks like a third-party plugin or your theme might be causing the conflict here.

    For us to investigate this further, can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if it is already visible on your end?

    If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

    If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

    If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Hi,

    I have tested and deactivated all plugins other than woocommerce. The short description field is still missing on the backend. Please refer to the screenshots here:

    Nothing out of the ordinary seems to be standing out in the SSR.

    As a next step, could you try deactivating and then reactivating WooCommerce and see if that makes any difference?

    If the issue persists, can you try deleting WooCommerce, downloading a fresh copy?here, and then installing it?

    I’d like to add that deleting the WooCommerce plugin will not affect your WooCommerce data in any way, all orders, customer etc will still be there once WooCommerce has been reinstalled.

    Please ensure that you have a good?backup?of your?full site and database?in place before doing any of the above, so that, should something go wrong, you are able to easily restore your site to a functioning state.
