Product reviews from verified customers who checked out as guests

    Hello,

    I have a question regarding product reviews in Woocommerce. I only accept reviews from verified customers, who bought the product. But what happens, if someone checks out as a guest, but then tries to write a review later, on the product they bought? If they create an account using the same e-mail address they had made the purchase with earlier, can woocommerce link the new account with the previous order, so that they can write a review?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    WooCommerce doesn’t automatically link past guest orders to a newly created account, even if the same email address is used. You can learn more from our guide here.

    Thank you for answering. I have one more question: what happens if I disable the Reviews can only be left by “verified owners” option? Will people still have to be logged in to write a review, or any website visitor (guest) will be able to write one?

    Hello @hlilla,

    If you disable the “Reviews can only be left by ‘verified owners'” option, this means that anyone visiting your site, whether they have purchased a product or not, will be able to leave a review.

    They will have to enter their email and name in order to leave the review.
