I have created a product review article. Now on the product review entity, I chose product & added price but the issue is that after I post/publish, the price doesn’t show at all on the frontend for users/visitors to the price of the product. How do I fix this?

  • Hey @kingking1

I have managed to replicate this on my end and have noted this in our bug tracker. Will get back to you as soon as I have an answer from our developers ??

Okay @cteduard I’ll be waiting for a feedback.

    Hello @kingking1

I have spoken with the developers and they have informed me that this metadata is present for Google’s Schema implementation. It will not show up on the front end as it only carries the meta data needed for rich Google search results.

We will add a little improvement that explains how this works in detail for the next update ??

    Thanks

Makes no sense really. If a user is reading about a product, they need see it’s price visible right beside the buy button. To have price input & all that on the admin end but not for users to see it, is just not okay on any level.

    Hello @kingking1

Actually, it makes a lot of sense. The price is entered manually and the field does not fetch it from the affiliate site.

What would happen with your website if you were to show a $200 price on a product, and the affiliate main site would raise the price by another $300? There would be a discrepancy between the prices on your site and on the destination site. You would have to manually update a review, but what happens if this price hike happens on hundreds of products on your website?

And be confident that we have researched this subject from top to bottom. This is the correct way that Google recommends to implement the Schema.org markup. We aren’t in the wrong here.

    Very well then.
Perhaps there could be a way that when an affiliate link is inputted on the admin end, it could automatically show prices & sync with the destination website (affiliate host) just perhaps.
