Product Rec Blocks – Issue with Variable Products

Certainly can see how that is not ideal and pretty confusing. We don’t have access to the Mailchimp ticket reference number you’ve mentioned as that is part of the Mailchimp customer service team systems. Though I’m more than happy to continue helping out as best I can.

We’ve had some reports on issues similar with the Product Recommendations. To move forward can you let us know the Product Recommendation setup for the campaign? Is it using Best Sellers or personalized?

Once we have this information gathered I’ll be passing it along to our developers who are working through investigating and coming up with a fix. Unfortunately I can’ say for sure when this sort of change would take place. But we will circle back around and update you.

In the meantime any and all extra information we can get to our developers about this issue will help move this process of finding a resolution along faster.

I’m using New Arrivals, I think that’s where the issue comes up the most as it treats the variables all as new

Thanks for giving us the additional information. I’ll have to confer with my colleagues on this as I was able to test this on my end and confirm the same behaviour you mentioned. Once I know more on how to move forward I’ll circle back around to you with an update.

@smgdarien After checking with our dev team, it’s noted that this is currently a limitation with the Product Recommendation feature when it comes to Variable products and unfortunately there isn’t a work around.

We’ve gone ahead and reported this internally and included your specific use case.

I can’t say for certain when a remedy or solution will be made available. We’ll be sure to update this thread should a solution be pushed up.
