I have a fresh WP and Woocommerce installed. I have created a Products page and the necessary WC pages. I have also added some fake products for dev. No matter what I try, my product pages are 404 unless I set all Permalink options to “Default” which is not an option. Is this a bug? What are the recommended settings to get this plugin to work?

  • Basically, the WC don’t have any more recommendations other then a WP install.

If you are making your tries in a test enviroment,
maybe using the dummy datas for such a test will be a good idea:

One of the free Woocommerce WooThemes theme is also a good choice for testing purposes. Because with the help mof the dummy data, you don’t need to create those relations, products, categories, etc. You will get the same working copy of the theme demos like:
    https://demo.woothemes.com/wootique/

I mean like a fresh WP install and then using Wootique as a theme, activating Woocommerce, import the dummy data, and investigate through the settings and examine how the plugin works.

Figured it out. I was including a taxonomy from another file with the same name in the functions.php file. Resolved.
