    Hi, all.

We have a custom theme and can’t find a way to have the product page follow the same style as the rest of the site.

Shop / cart and checkout are all fine but the product page is missing the header image and has double bars at the bottom of the page etc.

Is there a way to force the product page to default to the custom theme?

This is what the page should look like https://www.kryalcastle.com.au/shop/ (note the ticketing menu and header image at the top of the page, which don;t display correctly in the product page)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @crossflow, i took into your custom theme, It looks liked you are using different template for both pages.

Your Shop page is using Page Template Default and your product page is using Product Template Default.

You may change that at Edit Page at WordPress admin. Hope it helps ??

    Hi @crossflow,

@terrytsang is spot on in his analysis of the situation here. If you want to apply the same look to both pages, you either need to use the same template for them or apply the same code to both templates to achieve identical results.

    Thanks guys.

It’s changing the template for the product page I’m having the issue with. I can’t seem to find a way to change that through the admin section. Shop page is using the correct template so I want to make the product page run the Page Template Default.

    Hey @crossflow,

By default, the free WooCommerce plugin will use its own separate templates for Shop and Product pages and those cannot be changed in WooCommerce via settings or similar.

They’re however could be settings within your theme to override templates or the developer has overridden the default WooCommerce templates with some code from within the theme. We’d suggest reaching out the developer of the theme you’re using so they can take a closer look at this for you.

    I hope this helps.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
