Hello, I need assistance with products that are set up for a sale. For selected products, we set a sale price, start date and an end date for the sale. Unfortunately, some products do not return to their original price when the promotion end date has passed – some products do, while others remain on sale. It’s as if the change didn’t get applied. How should I proceed to ensure that all products return to their original price when the promotion end date is reached? We have a total of over 2500 products.

    Thank you for your response.

From what I understand, you’re facing some inconsistencies with your product sale prices. It seems like some products aren’t returning to their original price after the sale ends. Thanks for your patience, and let’s work together to solve this issue.

Firstly, let’s ensure that your WordPress and WooCommerce installations are up to date. Outdated versions can sometimes trigger unpredictable behaviors. If you haven’t updated yet, please do so and see if the problem persists.

Next, the problem could be stemming from a caching issue. Caches store data temporarily to accelerate certain processes, but they can sometimes cause issues by retaining outdated data. You can clear your WooCommerce cache by navigating to WooCommerce > System Status > Tools > WooCommerce Transients > Clear Transients.

If the problem still exists, it might be due to a conflict with one of your plugins or your theme. To eliminate this possibility, try deactivating all your plugins except WooCommerce and switch to a default WordPress theme like Storefront. If the problem is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one to identify the problematic ones. Here’s a helpful guide on how to test for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts.

Lastly, the issue could be a cron job problem. WooCommerce uses WordPress cron jobs to schedule events, like resetting product prices after a sale ends. If these cron jobs aren’t functioning correctly, it could be causing the issue you’re experiencing. You can check this by installing a plugin like ?? WP Crontrol to see if the WooCommerce cron jobs are running as expected.

If none of these solutions work, could you please provide more details? Are there any common traits among the products that aren’t reverting back to their original price? Like, do they all belong to the same category or have the same sale end date? Any additional information would be highly valuable.

Sharing your site’s System Status report will also help us understand your site’s setup and identify the problem. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

If there are any fatal error logs, please share those as well. You can find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you get this sorted.
