• Hello everyone,

    Got a very perplexing issue, I’ve built a plugin for WordPress initially for my own purposes; basically I maintain quite a few old WordPress sites, and more than once now WordPress has fallen over due to a plugin that has stopped being maintained by the plugin authors – or have been removed from the WordPress plugin directory!

    So anyway I have built a plugin which lists all the installed plugins (active or not) and fetches the www.remarpro.com repository information to determine a few things;

    1. Is the plugin on the WordPress Repository
    2. When did the developer last issue an update
    3. Is the plugin marked compatible with the current WordPress version

    This is just the initial features, I’m planning/hoping to add much more features, perhaps even plugging into another third-party to fetch known vulnerabilities for plugins etc.

    Anyway I initially called the plugin “Plugin Checker” – but I cant use the term “plugin”, so what on earth do I call this plugin that would make sense without using the word “plugin” I’m a bit stuck…
