Product link redirects to home page after the purchase

    Hi there, our Woocommerce downloadable products all of the sudden won’t download after the purchase but instead it redirects customer to home page.

    Disabled all plugins and still the same. Everything is up to date.

  • Hey,

    Try changing the setting of the Downloadable Products to Force Downloads (WooCommerce > Settings > Product > Downloadable Products > File Download Method > Force Downloads).

    If the problem still pertains, create a free test product, do a checkout with your own address and paste the downloadable link so that it is easy to diagnose.

    Hello, thank you for your response.

    I checked the settings page and it is set to Force Downloads. I resaved it and still product won’t download.

    I created a new test product https://khushmark.com/product/test/ and still won’t download. Keeps redirecting to home page.

    Here is the downloadable link https://khushmark.com/?download_file=4526&order=wc_order_oCk8c6u7dJVmW&email=marika%40completeims.co.za&key=833ddccc-bfc6-4dcd-9ecd-94d04b1ffd53

    Its the same from order completed page and from the email customer receives.

    Hi there,
    I did a test purchase of your test product and the download link worked fine ??

    I suspect that this may be caused by caching on your site.
    Please clear and disable any caching plugins you are using both on your site and on the server itself (you may need to contact your host) and test again.

    The issue was caused by enabling 7G on the server as there were lots of bots traffic. Now disabled and downloads working again.
