Product layout in one column, want to put in rows

My product layout is in one column only. I am using the gold version, so I have grid layout, asking for 3 columns. But the display is only in one very long column. Seems the more columns I ask for in the grid view, the smaller the display column.

Thanks for any input on how to show 3 per row.
