    hi

When I post a link to my product page on Twitter, the product image which is square renders in a horizontal Twitter image card that doesn’t look good.

You can see it is here – Inspirational Meditations https://twitter.com/QuantumLiving88 – it essentially zooms in the image to fill the frame cutting off some parts.

Twitter uses two types of image card: one horizontal showing just an image, and a different one, also horizontal which shows the image on the left and its description on the right. The left part is square so a square image fits perfectly.

Question: is this something I can control and adjust in my Woocommerce and if so, how? thanks!

    Hello @magicpowers,

If I understand you correctly, you want to edit the social preview of your WooCommerce products.

This is not something built in WooCommerce core, but you can find many plugins to help you with this most notably Yoast.

You can check the following guide to learn more about this: https://yoast.com/features/content-previews/social-previews/

    Hope it helps!

    hi @babylon1999

no, that’s not my question. I’m not seeking the preview, I”m seeking selection of the type of card and control.

    thanks

    Hi @magicpowers

Thanks for providing clarity to your issue here.

Checking your Twitter page, I believe you are referring to the image below, correct?

If I understand you correctly, you would like to be able to adjust the image settings of your product prior to posting it to Twitter, right?

I’m afraid that there are no built-in settings within WooCommerce that would let you adjust the image prior to posting it in order to achieve the desired dimension. I believe that these social networking sites use the product’s featured images upon posting.

That being said, I did some research and found these articles could be a good starting point:

    Hope this helps!
