Product Image Only Showing After Refresh

    Product Image only shows up on individual product page sporadically. Occasionally shows up when and where it should. Most often doesn’t show up until hit refresh. Sometimes doesn’t show up even then. Clicking on any image gallery photo will allow it to load.

    Have tried turning plug-ins off, like Quickview, but it doesn’t seem to influence the problem.

    (I am re-entering products right now. Restored to several-days-old backup version of site in hopes of solving things.)

    I tried a few products and they were OK if a bit slow coming up.

    It looks like the images are coming from another site, the other site is doing some processing before sending them, there are 4 images in the set, and also the images are in different sizes. It may be just that that’s a lot of processing, particularly if the internet connection is a bit sticky. Could you try a cache plugin, or try one product with its images loaded locally. Also PHP 7.2 might help if you are not using it already.

    Looks like you’re using Jetpack’s image optimisation module whereby images are generated/cropped on the server side before being delivered to the user. Are you seeing the same thing when temporarily deactivating Jetpack (or the image optimisation module in Jetpack at least)?
