    Hi,

We use menu order to create a product display hierarchy so that we can put the most relevant products in front of store visitors first.

However we want to implement rules that mean we have:
No repetition of a single product on any page
Define that our target products will always show even if currently out of stock.

Are there any plugins for woo commerce that offer product display controls that allow is to set criteria for display order and offer alternatives if certain criteria are not met?

(apologies if what asking isn’t clear)

    Hello @cvmwp,

No repetition of a single product on any page

I understand you don’t want the product to be rendered twice on the same page. This should be the case by default unless these products are on a custom page and called by shortcodes for example.

Define that our target products will always show even if currently out of stock.

You can navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Product > Inventory and unselect this option:

If you’re looking for more options to customize the product catalogue, you can check the Catalog Visibility Options extension on WooCommerce.com.

I should note that all extensions sold on WooCommerce.com have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. ??

    Hi,

Sorry I’m not sure I was entirely clear on my original question.

In our bank of products we will have similar items as we’re a vehicle manufacturer.

We want the storefront to able to be formulated that if product A appears then another of product A won’t show until page 2.

With a second level of if there is no product A on page 1, then a back order product A would display to ensure that version of a vehicle is seen.

    Does that make more sense?

    Hi @cvmwp

Thanks for providing further information about your inquiry here.

I understand that you have similar products in your store and would like to set it up so that if Product A is displayed on the first page, another instance of Product A will not be shown until the second page. Additionally, if there is no Product A on the first page, you want a backorder Product A to be displayed to ensure that version of the vehicle is visible.

This is a bit of a complicated topic that would need some customization to address. Unfortunately, custom coding is not something we can assist with directly. However, I’ll keep this thread open for a bit to see if anyone from the community can lend a hand.

If you have any other questions related to development or custom coding, don’t hesitate to reach out to some of the great resources we have available for support. The WooCommerce community is filled with talented open-source developers, and many of them are active on the channels listed below:

    Hope this helps!
