  • Hi,

    Are you using the latest version of the theme? Please update to the latest version of the theme, clear your browser cache, and it should be fixed.

    Let me know if it does. ??

    Shopisle v2.1.4 is the current up-to-date theme according to my WP backend.
    Cleared cache, problem persists.

    Hi maxwellharrison

    2.2.13 is the latest version, if its not automatically updating through WordPress go to https://themeisle.com/ and login. It should take you to your plan where you can manually download the latest version. The only problem for me is that I have updated to 2.2.13 and cleared the cache but the problem persists. (I even uninstalled wp rocket my cache plugin but it made no difference)

    But for some it does fix the issue.

    There appears to be a problem with caching that is causing the thumbnail problem. I hope this helps you in some way.

    Cheers

    Thank you @jembalino @hardeepasrani @drbobsapothecary
    I persisted and manually installed the latest version of the theme (by changing name of original theme folder with FTP).

    It improves the appearance of the product gallery, but the thumbnails are very big.

    I wonder how to make them smaller (like the demo), and make them all appear in a horizontal line.

    Have tried editing CSS, and can reduce the size that way with
    .flex-control-nav.flex-control-thumbs {
    max-width: 100px;
    }
    but they stack one on top of the other with a large right-hand margin.

    This is on Chrome by the way

    Hi Maxwell,

    If you now have 2.2.13 installed and your thumbnails are large and repeated down the page the direction given by Hardeep was to empty your broswer cache. Go to Google settings here: chrome://settings/ and clear browsing data (choose your desired settings, then clear). Then, if you have a caching plugin clear your cache and apparently it should be fixed. As I have said previously this has fixed the issue for some but I have done all of the above and the problem still persists. I reverted to Woocommerce 2.9 and the problem no longer occurs. This issue, as far as I can see is caused by the update of Woocommerce 3.0 not being compatible with the Shopisle theme and I can only think that it is up to Themeisle to fix this. I would not attempt to edit your CSS but wait for the theme developers to fix and then update.

    I hope this helps. It seems to be a waiting game unless Themeisle can point us in the right directon as to why it is fixed for some and not for others. I am more than happy to be corrected if I have have made wrong conclusions on this matter and apologise in advance if this is the case.

    Best regards

    Jeremy

    Thanks Jeremey
    I had been clearing my cache, and the problem remained.
    Will try wooswipe as a temporary fix.

    I installed the latest version of Shopisle (2.2.14 released April 24 2017), and noticed the About us page template was missing.

    I reverted to the previous version 2.2.13.

    I’m now using WooSwipe for my Product gallery, and like the interface so sticking with that, so can’t confirm if 2.2.13 or 2.2.14 is fixing my original problem with the stacking gallery thumbnails.

    My “catalog” images were cropping.
    I specified the desired thumbnail dimensions using the fields at
    Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display

    Then I used “Regenerate thumbnails” plugin to resize them. Cleared the cache, and that sorted it for me.
