Product does not accepts numeric SKU

  • Hi,
    we noticed that the product does not accepts numeric SKU’s. The strange is that accepts SKU’s that contain a letters and numbers. Also it doesn’t accepts space character in front or at the end of the SKU field.

    We use WordPress 4.1 (Theme:OXYVersion: 1.3).

    Is this a bug or we have not configure the product well ?
    Could this be a theme problem ?
    Is there a way to configure the SKU format ?
