Product Description Selections

Does anyone know of a way to have a droplist available in the Product Description area when setting up a product and then once the product is published, only the selection in the droplist displays in that product’s description?

Our product is a class that will be at one of 10 locations. We duplicate an existing class product to start off so if I embed a form in the Product Description, it’ll be there already from class to class creation. The form would provide the droplist with selection options. My problem is that when the product is published the entire droplist displays, not just the selection. How would I only get the selection? Is there another way to do this?
