Product Description Missing in Catalog Feed File For Simple Product

    The product description is missing in the catalog feed file for a simple product. Variable product descriptions are working. I don’t want to delete the product to try and force an update. Please assist.

    I understand that you’re having an issue with the product description for a simple product not showing up in the catalog feed file.

    Typically, the feed file is updated every 10 mins in WooCommerce and pulled by Pinterest every 24 hours to update the catalog on Pinterest. If you find your feed isn’t pulled every 24 hours, please restart the catalog by following the steps here: https://woo.com/document/pinterest-for-woocommerce/#section-20

    If this did not resolve the issue, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

    • System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
    • Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Thanks for getting back to us with the requested information. Based on your SSR, these are what I see:

    WC Version: 8.1.1

    Please update WooCommerce in order for your site to receive new features, fixed issues, and to improve your site’s security.

    WC Database Version: 6.4.0

    If after updating WooCommerce, the database didn’t get updated afterwards, you can run it manually by going to WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Update Database

    Pending: 19

    Try running your pending tasks manually by going to WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions > Pending. Sometimes, scheduled tasks get stuck here from a pile of pending ones, that’s why it seem that sync is not working.

    After all of these are cleared, please try to run a product sync once again and see if this resolves the issue.

    Otherwise, please provide us with the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
