    Hi,
I am fighting an issue with “TheGem” theme and WooCommerce. As you can see on the attached screenshots, is the standard field for the description ignored in the single product template, and the content is put underneath anything else, instead of being in the “Description” product tab.

What shows up on the frontend in the product tab “description” is the content from a different box “Product Description”, a box which has maybe been added during the theme installation?

The problem is, that plugins like Yoast SEO, the PDF catalog generator, or certain feeds, look for the product description only in the box right underneath the title in the backend (dashboard), but not in this other “Product Description” box.

I have no clue how to fix this, and the theme support is not helpful and super slow…
Here the links to the screenshots:

    Thanks for any help provided!

I’m afraid this is something your theme entirely controls. They are either overriding core WC templates, or using hooks to move stuff around.

If the theme developers aren’t being helpful and aren’t willing to make this work sensibly, then I would recommend looking for a new theme to be honest.

The alternative is hiring a developer to create a child theme with the changes you need.
