Hi there,

For some reason when we make an export (CSV) of all products, some lines are filled with meta or description or things that dont belong to the product, because this happens we can not import the fil again since none of the columns know where they belong.

This happens on both sites: https://cafetariaderooy.nl/bestellen/, https://spuitbuswinkel.nl/ we have checked so far.

We can add the CSV exports somewhere if you want, so you can see what happens.

To be more clear: this has never happened before, we have made no changes to our Excel or Office package and have been using Woocommerce for over 7 years without this (or similair) issue.

How are you exporting the CSV file? Are you using the WooCommerce core Product CSV Importer and Exporter functionality found under Products → All products?

We can add the CSV exports somewhere if you want, so you can see what happens.

Yes, please. We want to take a closer look at the CSV file to understand the issue better.

Kindly share the file with us: you can use Google Drive, Dropbox, https://www.file.io/, or https://ufile.io/ services.

If possible, we recommend avoiding using Microsoft Excel due to formatting and character encoding issues.

Hi there,

yes we use the mentioned standard prodcedure in Woocommerce > products > all products > export.

Sadly its not possible to avoid excel/Office nor did we had this issue ever in the past 7 years and we always use Excel.

Thank you for sending the CSV files.

One of the files has the usual columns the CSV file should have; however, the other has various columns that seem to relate to meta information.

Kindly notice that some plugins on your site could be creating these columns.

To take a further look into your site setup, kindly share with us your System Status; you can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select ‘Get system report’ and then ‘Copy for support’. Once you do this, you can paste your response here.

hi there,

thank you for mentioning that but as far as we can see that is not the issue, to clarify the other CSV (from https://spuitbuswinkel.nl/ ) also has the “issue” we think is causing the import error, because when we export it it also includes text on lines/columns it should not it seems (see file at: https://file.io/yJAjHT314UBp ).

Normally no matter what description, short description, meta, etc. you include each product and/or variation stays on 1 row/line.. in both these cases there is information about the product or something on some rows instead of within the row belonging to the product itself.

I was checking all your responses, I tried to check the files but they were deleted ??

I was checking the system status report, it appears the site is not using the latest versions of WordPress, and WooCommerce, we recommend to update them first:

— https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-woocommerce/
— How to Safely Update WordPress
— Update your database under WooCommerce > status > tools > update database.

These actions will ensure you will work with the latest versions.

Before making any change be sure to back up your site.

If that does not help, please provide us with the CSV file (you can allow them a timeframe of 7 days to be deleted) so that we can check again.
