    Hi,

I’m having some real issues with my menu. When I go into my menu editor my product category listings doesn’t show as the hierarchy I created them in. That would be fine, however when I try to search using the product category search bar it comes up with nothing! Even when I know there is a category under that name.

This would all be fine but I have nearly 250 categories to add to my menu, some named the same (under different parents) so its a real pain to go through the many pages of categories under “view all” to find the ones I need.

I did originally create the menu this way. But to top it all off when I last went to save my menu nearly all of my menu items have disappeared with the error message “The given object ID is not that of a menu item.” I can’t bring myself to begin manually adding all the categories again when I cannot see the hierarchy or even search!

I’ve tried repairing databases and max input vars is set at 10,000 as I was having problems with that previously.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a back up as the website is still been built.

Another question, I created the menu using the Uber Mega Menu plugin. If I created a back up and this happened in future, as its done through a plugin will the menu appear appear when I reinstall the site or will I have to manually add everything again? I actually add the menu through the WordPress menu editor, the plugin just allows me more customisation and to add things like widget areas etc. Will all this customisation stay?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really need to get things sorted!

    Thanks so much,
    Lewis
