Product category dropdown list issue in Add New Product window

Hi,

I am using translatepress free version to translate my website into a secondary language, english being the original one. In the product page/tab on the vendor dashboard, the product category dropdown list in the filter area does translate properly, but that same category dropdown does not translate in the Add New Product window. I already checked both possible plugin conflict or theme problem, but they are not the issue. Help would be very much appreciated.
