    Hi all…

I have my feed working in Facebook.
My products are all books (google category 784).

When I am in Facebook catalogue, is there a way to use the woocommerce product categories somehow?

e.g map the shop categories to the brand or something?
(slap me if i’m being stupid!!!)

It would make it easier for me to choose a selection of books to add to a campaign.

    Thanks

  • Hi wordpressforumhelp,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

You could add a custom field to the feed and map that to the attribute named ‘Category (not used for mapping)’, like this:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/pxmuezvzdci9cjo/cat-not-mapping.png?dl=0

That will add your WooCommerce categories in the custom field 0. Bear in mind though that when a product sits in multiple categories all those categories are being added to the custom field 0.

    Hope this helps?

    All the best,
    Eva

    Hi Eva

Thanks for the speedy reply… Had a look at your fix…

    Create Product Set…

Custom Label 0 / Contains (text search 1990s)

All the results show 0 (zero) products

The xml file is showing <g:custom_label_0>1990s</g:custom_label_0>

    Any other ideas?

    Many thanks

    Here are my field mappings…

    Thanks

So apparently the WooCommerce category is called “1990s” and that is now added to your feed in the custom label 0. Isn’t that what you wanted?

    Hi Eva

I was trying to create a product set

Match items for all of the following rules
    Custom Label 0 contains 1990s

It doesn’t match up to anything and returns o in the count

    Hope that makes sense..

    Thanks

When you created a filter or rule based on what is in custom label 0, which are the values of the “Category (not used for mapping)” field then you need to set the filter/rule on the “Category (not used for mapping)” field and not on the custom label 0.

Could you show me how the filter/rule looks you created?

    Best,
    Eva
