Product Categories are Shown Twice On ‘Shop’ Page

    The images for my product categories are shown twice on the ‘Shop’ page. At the top of the page, they are shown in a 6 x 5 array of small buttons that will take the visiting customer to the appropriate shopping page, which is just what I want; however, below that array, there is another display of the same product categories. This second one is shown in much larger images.

    I obviously don’t want the second display of images to show up on the ‘Shop’ page at all. There must be some setting that I have inadvertently set, but I just can’t see it anywhere.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi there @rayzen1

    I’m unable to see your site due to a password restriction.

    My first thought would be that these areas of the homepage are for different things like “top sellers” and “featured products”.

    These are theme dependent, so there might be setting in the Customizer to control this, if not, I recommend having a look at the Homepage Control plugin.

    Thanks for your help. I just disabled the password protection…so frustrating to wait for help, only to find that I have shot myself in the foot with that!

    I’m hoping you will be so kind as to have a look at it now that the password protection is gone and maybe come up with a solution, since I don’t know what I’m doing…as you can tell :O)

    I almost forgot to mention that problem lies on the ‘Shop’ page, not the ‘Home’ page, if that helps at all.

    Problem solved. I just deleted the old page and started over. I will never known why there were two sets of product categories and their images, I guess. Oh well, thanks, everyone who sent in suggestions; I truly appreciate your time and effort.
