    Hi,

I’ve tried to keep a campaign hidden from public view and have used the visibility function available in the Crowdfunding product/ campaign.

    It doesn’t seem to work.

Can you please advise as to how t hide it.

    Many thanks,
    J

  • Dear @jpsarmento

If you want to hide the campaigns then save the campaign as a draft.

    Thank you

    hi,

no that doesn’t do it and this reply surprises me.

The idea is so that people who have the link, can see it (as you must be aware)

if it’s a ‘draft’, as you know, only admin can see it in the backend.

The ‘hidden’ feature exists for many good reasons. the function is there, but it is not working.

Can you tell me how to achieve this please?

    Hello @jpsarmento,

You can password protect the campaign or set it as private but private campaign url will take users to 404 page so for your use case you can password protect it.

    hi @munayam

I know i can password protect it, but as you know, that does not do what the ‘hidden’ feature does, which is the one i need. It’s a bit odd that some of those features work (password, etc) but not the hidden one. Is this going to be fixed?

    Hello @jpsarmento,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We shall resolve this in our upcoming update.

    Hi @munayam,

    thanks for you reply.

Can you give us an idea as to when are you planning to release it?

    Hello @jpsarmento,

It will take some time as we are preoccupied with releasing updates for our Tutor LMS plugin. I’ve added this to our to do list. Thanks for your patience.

    Hi @munayam

I don’t think there’s any consolation for WP Crowdfunding users to know that their much needed updated plugin has to be delayed (and for how long?) to give way for other updates for other plugins… it doesn’t help, it’s frustrating and only diminishes the value of WP Crowdfunding and the time that its users have put into it.

One way to solve the issue is with the Themeum Crowdfunding Grid Element for the ‘latest’ and ‘popular’ options, because one can only either choose:

    – One Category
    or
    – All Categories.

If there would be a drop down menu to choose from, whereby users could choose more than one category, then one could keep some categories out. It would also offer more versatility to users, as they can arrange the categories to show up according to wider themes.

This change would not take too much of your time and it would go a long way to solve the issue as there are other effective ways to keep categories out of Searches (where the ‘hidden feature is also meant to work).

Let me know what if you intent to bring any update soon as we need to take decisions on this soon.

    Hello @jpsarmento,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Please contact Themeum support along with page url and screenshots. We will take a closer look at it.

    Hi @munayam ,

    Sent an email to support.

As you’re likely to know the issue can be reproduced easily in your own demo. If you make a campaign/product ‘hidden’, that campaign/product will still show on the TheMeum Crowdfunding Grid product element as well as on searches ((/?s=).

Looking forward to having this issue solved.

    Hello @jpsarmento,

Please keep a full backup then update your version of Backer theme to the latest build then edit homepage and you will see the option on the left to add/remove campaign category grid from homepage. See this image for example.
