    Hello,

We have been using the plugin for some time now and the transfer to the Merchant Center has worked so far.
However, for 5 out of 100 products the following error message is displayed:

    Google sync status
    Issues detected

    Issues

    • [imageLink] Product image “damen-leinenhose-damenhose-leinen-culotte-festlich-elegant-figurschmeichelnde-frauenhose.jpg” is not a valid name.
    • [additionalImageLinks[0]] Product image “damen-leinenhose-damenhose-leinen-culotte-smmerhose-frauen.jpg” is not a valid name.
    • [additionalImageLinks[1]] Product image “damen-leinenhose-damenhose-leinen-culotte-sommerhose-luftige-hose.jpg” is not a valid name.
    • [additionalImageLinks[2]] Product image “damen-leinenhose-damenhose-leinen-culotte-leinenculotte.jpg” is not a valid name.

The image name is no different than our other image names, the images are in the same format and there shouldn’t be any other problems here. What kind of problem is this and how can I solve it so that the products are passed on to the Merchant Center?
    LG Lisa

  • Hey there, @liri89! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

I agree that the image name do not seem to have any of the unsupported characters. But sometimes Google Merchant Center can have issues with the dash.

Do you mind switching the dash on the name to underscore (_) and reuploading the images to check if it solved the issue?

Please let us know how it goes.

If you want to know more about Google’s image guideline, you can check this guide.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hey,
Even if I can’t explain it – with the “_” it works! So far I have named all picture titles with “-“. Except for these 5 products, it worked without any problems. Very strange ??

    Best wishes,
    Lisa

    Hi @liri89

I’m glad the issue was resolved by replacing the dash with an underscore in your image names. While it may seem strange, Google can sometimes have issues with certain characters in image names, including the dash. This is not always the case, so your other images were unaffected.

In the future, to avoid any potential issues, we recommend using underscores in your image names. You can also refer to Google’s image guidelines for more information on best practices for naming and formatting your images.

Meanwhile, I will mark this thread as resolved. Should you have further inquiries, kindly create a new topic here.

    Thanks!
