Product by user duplicating products

Hi

I have narrowed this down to user error – however I wonder if you know of a solution to stop it happening.

I have the product add shortcode on vendor page and they can use it to add products directly from the page – it’s fantastic!

However, as the product does not appear on the page immediately some people, like I did, will refresh the page. It is when the user refreshes then the product duplicates. If for instance, when the user navigates to another page and back all is fine.

There is a warning message
To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.
But again its one of them things people may just assume means nothing to them.
I will add a warning message on the page to try and stop people doing it, but I wonder if you know a way to stop it happening at all.

Regarding duplicate bug – I will do something to fix this, shouldn’t be too hard. I will let you know as soon as possible.

Regarding shipping choice – will try to add it in next Booster’s update.

Thanks for that. I am really nearly getting there with my site and your plugin has helped tremendously. ??

It’s a tricky one with the shipping. I use woocommerce built in shipping for local pick up and the built in shipping module that comes with wcvendors pro, which allows vendors to set their own shipping rates. So probably not so easy to do, unless you used the plugin.

Anyway, I don’t want to appear cheeky. I’m delighted with the feature especially as it was a total bonus!

When my site goes live and I make a few quid I will buy you a pint – and you can hold me to that. ??

Not sure if this will be good enough, but in latest v2.5.4 I’ve added “Require Unique Title” option to the “Product by User” module’s settings (as usual in “WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > Products > Product by User”), so now if you enable it, and your customer will refresh the page, he will get “Product Already Exists” message and no duplicate product will be added. However in this case all products (even added by different users) will have to have unique titles. Another thing that I’ve changed in module – after customer successfully adds the product, all fields are refilled with previous values, so hopefully it’s less probable that he will refresh the page. Hope you understood what I meant – if no, please let me know and I will try to explain again.

Regarding shipping choice – now I’m not sure I understood exactly what you need – do you mean “Shipping class”?
