Product author, displays only admins?

HI there,
I try to use this hook: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/74054/woocommerce-assign-an-author-to-a-product to add the author field selector in the product backend.
But seams only display users with role:admin, it′s possible to add other user role, in this case I create a new one, but even if I change the capabilties of this custom role the author selector only display admins.
Any idea?
