    Hello,

I just amaze why it still no such obvious function at WooC.

When product have too many attributes it’s attributes table becomes monstrous and uncomfortable to read. To resolve such problem must be possibility to order-combine product attributes form one huge list into groups/sections with text headers. For example for cars: section header Engine with Attributes: Power, Volume, Fuel, etc; section Options with Attributes: Carpets, Cases, Audio, etc. Maybe even with individual icons (fontawesome/img).

Maybe someone know standalone plugin for that purpose??

    Hi @justdude

The grouping of attributes is not possible with just WooCommerce, but there is a 3rd-party plugin that will allow you to do that – https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-group-attributes/15467980

Before answer you must read. IF you cannot read – please, dont answer.
That plugin can’t make a displayed attributes groups, it can make only on-dashboard attributes groups to fast insert many attributes into products, that all what it can. It’s lazy developer we-launch refuse to add a function as I describe above.

@justdude sorry if I misunderstood you, but looking at the demo of that plugin, it does look like it can be used to display attributes in sections – https://welaunch.io/plugins/woocommerce-group-attributes/product/style-1/

They even have 3 different styles you can choose from to display the attribute groups – https://welaunch.io/plugins/woocommerce-group-attributes/demo/

OK, sorry for too harsh answer me as well. I have this plugin (WooCoommerce Group Attributes) and it pisses me off because of one stupid problem.

Yes there are possibility to make groups of attributes. Each group can be used for two purposes: 1) at backend to add many attributes to product with needed order fast by one click; 2) at frontend to show at product page attributes as groups with they general section header. At first look it seems that all great. But…

If website-shop have many attributes (20-50) or even many different products with individual attributes lists – those two functions 1+2 are comes into collision with them-self! Admin can chose only one priority of two of them – or make one huge list of all needed attributes with special order to insert all needed attributes to a new product fast by one click; or to make a small separated groups of attributes for sections headers at frontend, but then at product editing he must insert all those groups one-by-one! With 10-20 attributes groups with 10 types of products at website it becomes really annoying! Sometimes those groups even conflict with each other because of identical names as: “Display” for products smartphones and “Display” for products notebooks – that must have a different attributes list and values as screen size, aspect ratio, screen cover, etc, and many other parameters as CPU and 3D from smartphones and notebooks absolutely different, so to don’t create a mess/mix of smartphones/notebooks attributes at search filters and attributes archives – all such attributes for smartphones and notebooks must be standalone, so they attributes groups also must be different – but at this plugin is impossible to make many attributes groups with identical names-headers because you will never now which to add at product editing. Also its hard to tell how those groups with similar attributes will be shown at different products categories as notebooks and smartphones?! All this crap happens because lazy author dont want to add possibility of grouping of attributes groups – plugin have only 1 grouping level, without the right hierarchy. :(((

Because of that and too much attributes at my website – I use this plugin WooCoommerce Group Attributes to save time on product editing to fast add all needed attributes with needed order by one click. But with such plugin limitations I lose possibility to make an attributes sections headers. :(((

So this plugin is not suitable for WooCommerce shops with many type of products or with one product with too much characteristics-attributes. But this is exactly the target audience of this plugin! So overall this plugin is unfinished and at today’s state is semi-useless. (Can be comfortable use only for shops with only one type of product with average number of attributes-groups).

    Hi there,

How about a faceted search: https://facetwp.com/
Does that go into the right direction?

    Kind regards,

When all best plugins for WooC Products Filtering can better-or-worse resolve problem with filtering at shop, all of them does not resolve problem with too many Product Attributes Groups and different Groups with identical names etc.
