• Hello,

    This morning I discovered the following:
    Woocommerce Orders contain all our orders. Many of them lack the product and shipping lines/rules/items.
    The price amounts are correct, but there are no more product and shipping methods lines … And they are no longer on the invoices too.

    May 28th I have created invoices and completed orders and they are all good.
    I can not figure this out, because one order correct and the other is not …

    I also saw that all Woocommerce shipping methods are gone…

    Except for some manual plugin updates in the past few days and new products, to my knowledge nothing has been changed.
    Restoring a site backup is not possible because then I than lose the new orders …

    Does anyone have a idea?

    Hi there,

    It looks like something is conflicting pretty badly with WooCommerce here. To test, first, you’ll want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then place a test order. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you. If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and test again. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one to see where the issue is coming from. If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.

    So I investigates some more and what’s gone:
    1 In the orders the product items and the shipping methodes.
    2 In the shippingmethodes all shippingzones with their settings
    3 In the products attributes all the attributes.

    I tested:
    – Deactivating all plugins, this did not bring 1,2 and 3 back.
    – Put in 1 (for some orders), 2 and 3 info by hand again.
    – Copied the site with WP Staging. That staging site said there was an error in the database of the staging site. So that did not work either.
    – Made a clone of the site in DirectAdmin on the server.

    On the clone site I updated Woocommerce to 4.2.0 and all products attributes are gone again! My newly 1 and 2 settings stayed. Older orders still missing 1 and 2.

    I removed this clone.
    Installed the theme storefront on the live site.
    Made a new clone.
    Activated theme storefront on the clone site.
    I updated Woocommerce to 4.2.0 again and all products attributes are gone again! My newly 1 and 2 settings stayed. Older orders still missing 1 and 2.

    So it’s not the theme and it’s not the other plugins… It’s Woocommerce 4.2.0 that removes my product attributes

    I do not know when problems 1,2,3 started for the first time. I think now it was with the previous update of Woocommerce.
    1 and 2 are just gone from the database, so I have to put in all items and shippingzone for each order by hand…
    I can now not update to Woocommerce 4.2.0 because I will then loose all my product attributes.

    Now what?

    I can now not update to Woocommerce 4.2.0 because I will then lose all my product attributes.
