    I am new to Braintree. I just had a transaction process through this plugin, only to be marked as ‘Processor Declined’ inside Braintree’s control panel. So as far as the customer is aware, the purchase was successful and nothing went wrong, but I have to contact them manually asking for payment through an alternate method.

    This seems like it wouldn’t work at all in many scenarios, particularly if you need to offer instant activation/access to digital content. Is this a flaw inherent in Braintree as a payment processor, or is there something that can be done? I’m going to have to stop using the plugin because of this.

    Hey Harelin,

    I completely understand what you’re saying. While the merchant (yourself) does have a certain responsibility to accurately manage your customers accounts, it would be a nifty feature that the form entry would be rejected unless the Braintree payment was successful, which is indeed coming.

    This version of Gravity Forms Braintree is still a pre-release version with some very helpful features still coming, including a “Your credit card was declined. Please try again.” notice before the form is completely submitted.

    We will make sure to update the description of the plugin to illustrate this and avoid any further confusion.

    I’m glad to hear that this can be resolved through further development. This is too major for me and I will have to stop using your plugin in the meantime, but I will keep an eye on your changelog.

    Yep, all taken care of. The form entry will only proceed if Braintree successfully processes the payment. Feel free to test if you’re worried!
