Recently, Google has often added ?srsltid= (which refers to the merchant center) even to normal search results and not only.

There are no problems when switching from Google search to existing pages.

However, there are problems with pages that no longer exist and are assigned 301 redirects in rank-math-redirections. On some of these pages, I started seeing 404 errors in rank-math-404-monitor.

    For example,

    • visually I see that in rank-math-404-monitor my URL is written with ?srsltid=AfmBOor_ljIhtF7o1AfpzXOSZD0UA9sgUXbwZat86PM3fjLQcKKEtT4d
    • however if I click View it says %3Fsrsltid%3DAfmBOor_ljIhtF7o1AfpzXOSZD0UA9sgUXbwZat86PM3fjLQcKKEtT4d and that’s why the 301 redirect doesn’t work

That is? is handled as %3F and = as %3D.

What can be done about it?

    Hello @tunyk,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

It seems to be working fine on our end. The ? symbol isn’t precent-encoded on our end when viewing the URL or creating a redirect. Please use the following guide to confirm if the issue is related to a plugin conflict: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Also, you can’t redirect parameterized URLs with the Free version. That feature is only available in the PRO version.

    Looking forward to helping you.
