last couple of days I’ve had issues where the feeds either show as failed to process, or they are stuck in the queue.

The xml feeds are showing as blank

Any ideas what the issue might be?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@tonyrhnewtons, could you please deactivate the plugin and reactive it again?
    What version are you running?

    Thread Starter tonyrhnewtons

    (@tonyrhnewtons)

    Version 1.8.0

    Deactivated and reactived the plugin.

The feeds still show as “In processing queue”

the site started running really slowly, and timing out. I wound up having to disable the plugin (at the hosting company’s request) because it was putting a massive load on the db and server

    Hello @tonyrhnewtons,

There are a two things we could start with in order to investigate the issue.

    1) When a feed fails, the feed id stays in the queue because it has not been closed properly. For this reason we added “Clear feed process” button the the Settings page. So please open the Feed Manager -> Settings page an press the “Clear feed process” button. When you now start a feed process it should start from new.

    2) Could you please check the wp-content folder on your server for any error-log file. Also check the plugin folder for any error-log file. If you find any please mail them to [email protected].

    Best regards,
    Michel

wordpress version 4.9.4, WooCommerce v3.3.1, and wersion 1.8.1 of plugin, which I updated this morning.

    still having the issue.

turned off the “automatically fix errors” in settings, and deleted my backups

for the moment I disabled the plugin.

I also recreated the feeds, and checked the error log. (nothing there) as well as defragmented the database in PHPmyadmin

just a quick note. is it possible to download the 1.7.4 version. The feed was working until the most recent update

    (@michel-jongbloed)

Yes, you should have the option to switch back to 1.7.4. If you can’t find it you could mail me your mail address to [email protected] and I can send you a copy of it.

Could you also send me your servers status report (WooCommerce -> Status and then press the “Get system report” button.

    Best regards,
    Michel

    Hi @tonyrhnewtons,

Could you try to update your plugin to the 1.8.1 version again and set your Wordfence firewall to Learning mode?

To do this, please take the following steps:

    1) Update our product feed manager to the 1.8.1 version
    2) Open the Wordfence -> Firewall page and click the Manage Firewall button
    3) Switch the Web Application Firewall Status to “Learning Mode”
    4) Enable the “Automatically enable on” option and set the date to tomorrow
    5) Open the Feed Manager -> Settings page and press the “Clear feed process” button

Now you can try to regenerate an existing feed. If this fails, press the “Clear feed process” button on the Feed Manager -> Settings page again and wait for about one hour. Then try again.

If you encounter issues with 1.8.1, or if switching to the Learning mode does not solve the issue, please revert back to the 1.7.4 version.

Please let me know the results.

    Best regards,
    Michel

    Hello @tonyrhnewtons,

Could you please check the following in your current setup:

    1) Open your Wordfence -> Tools page and than the Diagnostics tab
    2) Open the Connectivity item

Do you see an OK for the “Connecting back to this site” item, or do you have an error message there? If you have an error message there, what is it saying?

    Best regards,
    Michel

    Hi Michel

going back to the 1.7.4 version did resolve the issue for my site.

I have not upgraded to 1.8.1 so I don’t know if the issue is or isn’t resolved, but for the mean time, it is working on my site

    Thanks

OK, we are currently working on an update that has the option to switch off the new background processing option so that it can work on servers with Wordfence installed.

I will give you reply as soon as this new version is online.

    Best regards,
    Michel

We finally have some good news (and it’s not an April fool joke :-)). Today we released new update ready. This update (version 1.8.3) has the option to disable the background process that sometimes is blocked by the Wordfence or any other safety plugin. So in your case it should get your feeds up and running again. To get this update to work, please follow the next steps:

    1) Install the new update (version 1.8.3)
    2) First open the Feed Manager -> Settings page and there click on the “Clear feed process” button
    3) Just to be sure, try generating a feed. This will probably not work, but because the background process does have some advantages, it’s worth a try
    4) If step 3 does not work and you’re feed still stays in the processing mode, proceed with step 5
    5) Again open the Feed Manager -> Settings page and click on the “Clear feed process” button
    6) Then select the “Disable background processing” option
    7) Try regenerating a feed again and this time it should work!

Let me know the result and if everything is OK now.

    Have a nice day,
    Michel
