I am seeing high levels of memory usage after hours. After looking at all the plugins we think it could be due to either WF or UpdraftPlus either backups or scans.

So the question is, what processes does WF run? is there a way of scheduling those processes so they don’t run at the same time as other plugin processes?

  • Hi @danishhaidri,

Wordfence runs on forks of the web service process. (So in most cases, the process name is just called php)

Can you go into Wordfence -> Scan -> Scan Options and Scheduling -> Scan Scheduling, and click disable?

See if memory usage drops significantly from this change, and if not, it might be another plugin that is causing the memory spikes.
