Process for discrepency and returns

Hi

Now I am using the free version.
But I am thinking about getting the Pro version.

However I would like to make sure that that will match my needs.

I have 2 use cases :
1) A customer places an order of 2 items. His payment card is debited at the order validation.
Finally I have a discrepancy on 1 item. Therefore I will only ship 1 item out of 2.
On Woocommerce I have to proceed to the missing item refund.
In this case, will the invoice display only the item shipped ? No needs of credit note ?

2) The 2 items are delivered to customer (invoice are editing for 2 items)
However he decides to send back 1 item.
While sending back to us we proceed to refund.
In this case will the invoice update with current order details (1 item paid 1 refund) and/or 1 credit note can be edited for the item refunded ?
