‘Proceed to checkout’ is not triggering any event

  • Hi, first of all thanks for the plugin.

    In the recent past, I have set the plugin several times on other sites and worked well.

    But now, in this site I got a problem. I add to cart a product and in the next step, when I click on ‘Proceed to checkout’ does not fire any event. It just fires ‘Link Click’

    What event should it trigger? Did I miss something?

    Hi,

    The “Proceed to checkout” button never had any attached ecommerce tracking.
    What event to you expect while clicking on that button?

    Ah okay, thanks for your fast response Thomas.

    I am not sure.

    My problem is in the Google Analytics Report ‘Shopping Behavior Analysis’ I got three times more ‘sessions with checkout’ than ‘sessions with addtocart’ and I thought the problem was there.

    It makes no sense to have more ‘sessions with checkout’ than ‘sessions with addtocart’

    Do you know why could it happen?

    Hi,

    Without analyzing your data it is hard to tell why this could happen.
    Perhaps your users put products into the cart to compare end totals between competitors and they might revisit your site more often and start the checkout process.
