Problems..after uninstalling wordpress.

    Hello,

    I had successfully installed wordpress and used it for a while. But for some reason I deleted wordpress files via ftp. and now I can’t view my index.html file and any others elements such as images.. on my server.

    When I enter my site url I get : The requested URL / was not found on this server.

    I have tried to upload .htaccess file like “DirectoryIndex index.html” but doesn’t work..

    How can I fix this.

  • Did you try to reinstall WordPress? Perhaps that would help you view your site. Alternatively you can create a simple index.html file, upload it to the root directory and view your site.

    I didn’t reinstall WordPress because otherwise the index.php page is selected as default page in stead of my index.html page on home directory.

    I just want to use index.html page as default without any wordpress file

    What is your site URL?

    Thnx for your answer. I have just noticed that wordpress files for some reason weren’t deleted completely! It is fixed!
