Problems with widgets when migrating WP site to rackspace hosting

Hi there. We have a functioning WP install at artmarketingsecrets.com. I’ve recently tried to move the site to rackspace cloud sites hosting but am having a major problem. All the widgets are not showing up – I just see grayed-out space. When I login to the backend and go to the widgets control panel under “appearance” the panel to drag the widgets to on the right hand side is completely missing.

Please note that if you look at the current site it is running correctly on the old webhost so it looks fine. I’ve checked folder permissions and everything appears to be OK. All the plugins are activated. I’ve also tried migrating the files and the database a couple of times in case something was corrupted – but it always ends up the same.

Does anyone have any experience with rackspace cloud hosting or any thoughts on why this might be happening? Is it possible it’s a theme issue? I’ve had some discussions with their support team via live chat but they can’t see a source for the problem.
