    Hello,

after updating WP to 4.7.2 and Widget Options to 3.3 I have recognized several problems.

At first the main sidebar disappears on all pages that I have edited after the updates (e.g. https://www.ecofibre.de/einblasdaemmung/). The footer menues are working well.

All other pages that I have not edited after the update are working well (e.g. https://www.ecofibre.de/ or https://www.ecofibre.de/kerndaemmung/)

The second problem occurs in the backend. When I click on
    Design -> Widgets
The page loads very slow and shows me a script error message.

I tried already to update the files “WP core” and “Widget options” again.
Moreover I tried to downgrade the files “WP core” and “Widget options” to older versions.
After that I tried to use old backup files for “Widget options”.

    But nothing works.

    Do you have an idea?

  • Hi,

Thank you for using Widget Options! Regarding your concern, does deactivating the plugin fixes the issue? If not, this probably a theme issue with the latest WP core update. Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Jeffrey

    Hello,

deactivating the plugin hasn′t fixed the issue. So, I have to check the theme.

    Thank you for your answer.

I was pretty sure this was covered by me before.

@phpbits I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
